Partner Success Manager - Anglophone & Lusophone Africa

We’re looking for a Partner Success Manager to help us achieve that future. 

As a Partner Success Manager you will own and manage all phases of the in-life performance with partners including integration, go-live and post go-live support and lead and manage complex negotiations with partners and potential partners on all commercial activities.

Fluency in both English and Portuguese is required for this role.

What is the role?

  • Act as the primary relationship holder and point of contact for specified MNO partners at all levels in the organisation, in Anglophone and Lusophone markets;
  • Create and own the single view of your partnerships across our business, being the key point of call for your specified partners to pawaPay, and escalation point on both sides owning resolution of any partner disputes/escalations/issues;
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned partners including monthly/quarterly service review meetings to ensure constructive dialogue and feedback on the partnership;
  • Coordinate the integration process between MNOs and pawaPay technical teams for your respective markets;
  • Liaise with internal product and sales teams on partner product offerings, ensuring adoption of those which drive the highest value to our customers;
  • Anticipate potential issues with partners and create proactive action plans to resolve;
  • Be the voice of the partner internally, providing feedback to all relevant departments;
  • Ensure we and partners are using agreed upon best practices to deliver high quality services;
  • Own and manage all phases of the in-life performance with partners including onboarding, go-live and post go-live support;
  • Lead and manage complex negotiations with partners and potential partners on all commercial activities;
  • Work closely with Cluster Team Leads and Country Managers who will support you on task execution with your partner in each jurisdiction;
  • Be a proud brand ambassador for pawaPay.

You are a perfect fit if you have

  • 3+ years of experience within the banking, MNO, fintech or payments industry;
  • 3+ years of experience within business development, developing and maintaining key relationships;
  • Strong understanding of the Mobile Money mechanisms both from a business and a product point of view;
  • Confident communication skills with keen attention to detail;
  • Excellent negotiations skills and a can-do attitude;
  • Experience of working with MNOs and other external stakeholders;
  • Comfortable with the use of data and Excel;
  • Proactive and persistent in resolving any outstanding issues with the partners;
  • A team player: demonstrates passion, energy, drive, and a willingness to collaborate with an ambitious team internationally.
  • Fluency in French and Portuguese is mandatory.
