We’re excited to introduce Scheduled Settlements — built to eliminate tedious, manual settlement requests. Now, your funds are settled on your schedule, with full visibility of settlement statuses.
With this feature you’ll be able to:
Set and automate your schedule: Settlements are triggered automatically based on your preferred schedule — weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
Get full settlement visibility: See your current and past settlements, the date of your next one, and real-time statuses — all in one place.
Easily update settlement preferences: Make changes directly in the Dashboard.
How do I use it?
1. Set up your settlement preferences
In the pawaPay Dashboard, head over to the new ‘Settlements’ page from the sidebar menu, then:
Tell us where we should settle your funds. You can link a local, or a cross-border bank account.
How often you want to be settled. Either weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
Set minimum balances (optional) for your pawaPay wallets to retain some funds, while settling the rest.
Review and confirm your setup. Then you’re all set to receive automated, scheduled settlements!
2. View and manage your settlements
Once you’ve completed set up, you’ll be able to see a full overview of past and current settlements, and see when your next settlement is scheduled.
Each settlement will show one of four statuses:
In Progress: You’ll see your affected pawaPay wallets, deducted amounts, and destination bank accounts. For settlements to multiple accounts, we show your pawaPay wallet distribution details, account names and countries.
Completed: When a settlement (local or cross-border) is completed by us, you’ll see the amount settled (before banking fees), the exchange rate used (for cross-border), and the destination bank account. A proof of payment (PoP) is attached and available for download.
Cancelled: Funds are returned to your wallets immediately, with comments explaining the cancellation.
Skipped: If an entire settlement is Skipped, none of your pawaPay wallets were eligible for settlement. This could be because the minimum required amounts you set for your pawaPay wallets weren’t met, or settlements were temporarily suspended in a specific country.
3. Change your settlement preferences
In the Settlements Configuration, you can update your settlement preferences at any time, including:
Adjusting settlement frequency.
Modifying minimum balances.
Adding new bank accounts when expanding to new countries/markets.
With Scheduled Settlements, managing your settlements is quicker and easier. Say goodbye to manual requests and hello to scheduled, stress-free settlements!
